a) Championship points will be issued at all regular scheduled events at Spartan/SMS and at various other special shows announced in advance that they will be points races. Any discrepancy in points must be brought to the attention of the official in charge of scoring within a 3 week period following the event in question.
b) To receive championship points and prize money for an event, a driver and car must take the green flag at the start of the race.
c) All prize money in the event of a tie shall be pooled together and divided evenly between the tied drivers.
d) Spartan/SMS may establish rules and regulations for the awarding of points and trophies.
e) All decisions by Spartan/SMS officials in establishing and awarding championship points shall be final.
f) Any postponed race, if rescheduled, shall be run on the same season point's total.
g) Any tie in points for the championship at the end of the scheduled season shall be determined as follows:
1. Events entered and competed in by car and/or driver
2. Average finishing position in feature races
3. Most victories
4. Most fast times
5. Average qualifying position
h) Points for qualifying (except Pony Stocks):
1st: 20 points 9th: 8 points
2nd: 15 points 10th: 7 points
3rd: 14 points 11th: 6 points
4th: 13 points 12th: 5 points
5th: 12 points 13th: 4 points
6th: 11 points 14th: 3 points
7th: 10 points 15th: 2 points
8th: 9 points
Balance of field will receive 1 point.
i) Points for dashes and heats (except Pony Stocks):
1st: 10 points
2nd: 8 points
3rd: 6 points
4th: 4 points
j) Feature: The number of cars locked into each feature will be determined each race, relevant to the number of cars competing.

k) Consi: Each non transferring car will receive points as follows (except Pony Stocks):

2nd: 75 points 8th: 45 points
3rd: 70 points 9th: 40 points
4th: 65 points 10th: 35 points
5th: 60 points 11th: 30 points
6th: 55 points 12th: 25 points
Balance of field will receive tow points of 20.
l) Pony Stock Point Structure: Points are earned differently in the Pony Stock division. The design of the points for the Pony Stocks is to encourage clean, consistent racing and also awards those who show up on a regular basis.
Appearance points: 40. Appearance points are awarded for showing up to compete. Any attempt to compete during the night qualifies for appearance points. Even if you break during practice, you will still receive 40 points for showing up.
Qualifying: No points are awarded for qualifying.
Heat race points: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5. Everyone else gets 5 points. This encourages everyone to race in their heat race.
Feature race points: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5. Everyone else gets 5 points. Same point structure as the heat races with one additional exception. Each driver is awarded one point per completed lap.
ALL DIVISIONS:
ANY TRANSFERS FROM CONSI EVENTS TO FEATURE RACES WILL NOT RECEIVE POINTS OR PAY FOR THE CONSI. ONLY FEATURE POINTS AND PAY EARNED BY FINISHING POSITION.
INVITATIONAL EVENTS WILL NOT QUALIFY FOR REGULAR POINTS; HOWEVER, REGISTERED DRIVERS PARTICIPATING WILL RECEIVE 50 POINTS, 25 FOR PONY STOCKS.
ANY DRIVER COMPETING IN MORE THAN HALF OF THE COMPLETED EVENTS (OF A REGULAR WEEKLY SCHEDULED DIVISION) FOR A SEASON WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR POINTS MONEY AND TROPHY AT THE END OF THE SEASON DRIVERS BANQUET.
